How to Connect Netgear Wireless Adapter using Netgear Genie Application

Today, we are going to discuss about the steps to connect the Netgear Wireless Adapter using Netgear Genie Application.
Here are the Steps to Follow to Connect Netgear Wireless Adapter using Netgear Genie Application
Step 1: First off all add the Netgear resource CD in the drive.
Step 2: Note that, if the CD does not opened automatically then you should double click on the Autorun.exe option.
Step 3: Now, simply click on the Setup option.
Step 4: You will discover a new window that is “Software Update Check” , here you will get two options to install the setup software.
- Connected to the Internet.
- Not Connected to the Internet.
If you are connected with the internet, you should click on the option “check for the Updates” once click on the “Continue” option. If you are not connected with the internet you will obviously click on the option “install from CD” option.
Step 5: In next window you have to click on the option “I Agree” that means you are agreed with the term and conditions for the installation.
Step 6: Now at this step, Netgear Genie App will ask you to insert the adapter.
Step 7: Just insert the USB adapter to the system.
Here you will get two options, either with the desktop dock option or without the desktop dock.
- If you want to use the adapter with dock then, insert the adapter in the dock and connect the USB to your PC.
- To use the adapter without the desktop dock, insert the wireless adapter into any of your computer’s USB port.
Step 8: Now click on the Next option.
Step 9: You will see the available Wireless Networks, these options will be displayed by Netgear Genie Application.
Step 10: Just select the SSID and type the passphrase/network key if prompted.
Step 11: Click on the Connect option and wait for the connection to complete.
